Story
‘Operating Table’ is a series of etchings and studies I made after being in hospital for a short time in 2015. I became fascinated by the female form and its vulnerability on an operating table. Studying Henry Moore’s sculptures of women and referencing his enduring interest in Palaeolithic sculptures. I focus on the simplification of the human form, mark-making, and line.
