Carve and print your own set of 4 napkins and a table runner with artist and educator Annika Reed – designed to be enjoyed by beginners and experienced makers alike.
Put technology on pause and learn the ancient art of block printing. Annika will demonstrate how to make a repeat pattern and turn it into a block and together we will go through each stage of the block printing process. Then it’s your turn as you carve your own linoleum block and explore and develop your own pattern repeat.
This workshop provides a creative approach to pattern and includes all materials, including a beautiful hemmed table runner and set of 4 hemmed napkins to adorn your home. It is advisable to bring a sketchbook of design ideas or drawings although not essential. Wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting messy (an apron is great)
Food is available on site or you can bring a packed lunch.
