Checkers is often one of the first games you learn properly. The rules are simple, the board familiar, and the sense that you’re playing something grown up arrives quickly. It’s easy to start, easy to return to, and rarely overthought.
The design plays with repetition and spacing, echoing the checkerboard without copying it exactly. Drawn by hand and printed from woodcut blocks, the pattern keeps a slight looseness that stops it feeling too rigid or exact.
Designed to pair with our wallpapers, Checkers works well for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. It brings pattern with a sense of ease recognisable, relaxed, and straightforward to live with.

Part of Annika Reed Studio’s Games collection, Games explores the idea of play, learned or invented, structured or free, passed from one person to another. Some games feel familiar, others less so, yet all share a gentle rhythm of turns, focus, and trying again.
Each pattern turns that sense of order and chance into cloth: repeats, shifts, and balanced compositions. Nostalgic but not time bound, the collection feels playful, grounded, and easy to live with at home.
